I have a classical I just completed that is a culmination of mistakes and work arounds. I decided to just make it an experimental guitar. trying different bridges maybe cut a sound port in the side. I didn't feel it measured up to sell it but I think it is probably the best sounding guitar I have built! Good volume, balanced, good coupling of the mid range. Sorta like tight harmony between singers in the same family. I haven't even put a finish on it. Now I'm wondering could the difference be that it is in the white?? If I put a finish on it how might the tone change?

I play pretty much every guitar I make in the white before finishing, this way I can make any changes if need be.

For me, and this might not be the same for you - they sound a little bit more focused and true once finished, slightly more refined [after a few hours under tension]. I am french polishing and end up with a very thin build though.

Definitely put a finish on your guitar, of some sort.
